Hee! at first I thought that said "Mikey's glowy people! So, what I do: copy one of the channels, then go to quick mask mode + paste. Then you have a selection that's just the highlights (or shadows, if you invert the selection). Create a new layer, and fill with a color! Then I just play with layer settings, and filters. Voila! Instant false color! I did this a lot for the old Teamsters website headers, and also on today's photo.
check out this guys portraiture http://www.flickr.com/photos/merkley/ he does a lot of photoshopping, and this image made me think of him. he definitely digs the ladies. He also seems to have a "glamorize" filter of some sort! :)

I thought i had added to say that to load a channel all you need to do is control and click on it. saves all that copying and pasting...
Merkley's "glamorize" filter? Looks more like a "Barbie Doll" filter to me! mmmmm... plastic-ey! :)
But my way I can do without clicking! All keyboard commands, baby! lol!
